Madhu Agrawal


Dr Madhu Agrawal has been the President of Urological Society of India 2019-20, and is the founder President of SAARC Association of Urological Surgeons 2019-21. He currently holds the Urology chair at Global Rainbow Healthcare, Agra. He graduated in 1979, as University topper with honours. After completing his residency at AIIMS, New Delhi and SMS, Jaipur, he served as faculty at SN Medical College, Agra, until obtaining voluntary retirement as Professor in 2009.

He is on the editorial board of Indian J Urology, and reviewer for multiple Journals. He has nearly 100 publications and several chapters in textbooks. He has presented more than 200 papers with multiple best paper awards. He has delivered more than 300 guest lectures, including orations, in national & international conferences.

He is the recipient of PV Rao Oration 2006, PN Kataria Oration 2010, Marudhara Oration 2013, Rangandha Rao Oration SOGUS 2016, President’s Gold Medal 2016, Urology Gold Medal 2021, Himadri Sarkar Oration 2021, of USI. He delivered UAA Lecture at EAU Meeting 2017, SLAUS lecture 2018, USI Lecture BAUSCON 2019, USI Lecture NAUSCON 2019, and UAA lecture HUA meeting 2019.

He has been one of the pioneers in Endourology, conducting and regularly organizing national and international live operative workshops and training programs.


Mumtaz Ahmed


Dr. Mumtaz Ahmad is the president of Pakistan Association of urological surgeons. He is the former Professor of urology at Rawalpindi medical university and Islamabad medical and dental college Islamanad.He is a member of EAU, SIU, IAU, UAA and SAUS. He is a national delegate of SIU and U-merge and member of Eulis. He has been the examiner for FCPS urology for the past 15 years. 

He has been part of faculty and had made many presentation in the international meeting all over the world: EAU, UAA, Eulis, IAU, WCE, SIU, BAUS, SAUS and many more. 


He has more than 32 years of experience in urology and more than 30 publications. His major interest is in endourology, urolithiasis and PCNL. He has organised many workshops on endourology, Urogynecology and urooncology and has the honour of organising 2 international meetings on urolithiasis in Islamanad in 2016 and 2017.


Pawan Raj Chalise


Dr Pawan Raj Chalise is Associate Professor at Department of Urology and Kidney Transplant Surgery at TU Teaching Hospital, Institute of Medicine at Kathmandu, Nepal. He is current Secretary General of SAARC Association of Urological Surgeons (SAUS) and Past General Secretary of Nepal Association of Urological Surgeons (NAUS). He is also the Elected Council Member of Urological Association of Asia (UAA).

He receives his MCh (Urology) training from Tribhuvan University at Kathmandu, Nepal and bears many international professional organization memberships. He is active in urology education and training within country and in international associations. His field of interest are kidney transplantation, reconstructive urology and Endourology. He has more than 30 publications in various reputed journals. He is also Editor of Journal of Institute of Medicine Nepal (JIOM Nepal) and in international Editorial board of International Journal of Urology.

Dr. Mallikarjuna Chiruvella, an alumnus of PGIMER, Chandigarh, is a leading consultant urologist in the city of Hyderabad,India for last 28 years. He has been a post-graduate teacher for last 12 years and visiting faculty to various institutions.. He has many international publications to his credit and is reviewer for several journals. He was instrumental in developing new surgical techniques, 4 of which have been published in international journals. He has authored chapters in textbooks. He has presented several papers in various regional, national and international conferences. He was bestowed with several awards and medals.


He strives towards the motto of sharing and spreading knowledge. In this endeavor, he has conducted over 65 workshops and CMEs over 2 decades. He has been an operating faculty to numerous workshops and conferences across entire country and even outside the country. He has been working ceaselessly towards simplifying laparoscopic urology and ensuring that no urologist is devoid of exposure to technical details of even the most complex laparoscopic procedures. Making use of technology in this effort, he has conducted over 85 webcasts on laparoscopy. He has conducted numerous laparoscopic training programs helping the younger generation of urologists overcome their learning curves faster.


Dr. Mallikarjuna is managing director and senior consultant at Asian Institute of Nephrology and Urology, a premium, tertiary care center, Hyderabad India. He was the president of  SOGUS and Association of Southern Urologists . He is the present President of Urological Society of India.

Prokar Dasgupta, King’s Health Partners Foundation Professor of Surgery, is internationally reputed as a clinician-scientist, educator, polymath and 10th Editor-in-Chief of the BJUI. 


He pioneered robotic surgery in Urology in the UK, and with the help of The Urology Foundation, trained and mentored several consultant surgeons and over 30 fellows both nationally and internationally. He was the first to develop image guided and 3D printed prostatectomies, indentation probes for precise localisation of tumours and is Ambassador for the KCL-Ericsson 5G Global health program in telemedicine. He was Chief Investigator for the world’s first randomised controlled trial of telerobotics and the only trial comparing open, laparoscopic and robotic cystectomy.

Nikhil Khattar


As a urologist, Dr. (Prof.) Nikhil Khattar has dedicated himself to the fields of Reconstructive Urology, Female Urology and Neurourology. He is a core member for Indian guidelines committee of the Urological Society of India (USI) for Adult Urinary Incontinence and Urethral Strictures and also a member of Female and Functional Urology Subspeciality section of the USI.

He has 30 research publications to his name and has worked as Professor of Urology at the PGIMER and Dr RML Hospital, New Delhi. He has pioneered the technique of saphenous vein graft in the urethroplasties where oral mucosa unsuitable. He is a proponent of vaginal repair for VVFs, generous use of retroperitoneoscopy in renal surgeries. He is presently working as Associate Director, Reconstructive Urology, Female Urology and Neurourology at Medanta, The Medicity. Gurugram, India.

His interest in female voiding dysfunction and female urethral reconstruction has recently made him co-author the first book on the subject written as a textbook for urology and urogynaecology trainees and practitioners. “Female Bladder Outlet Obstruction and Urethral Reconstruction. Sanjay B. Kulkarni, MD, MS, Diploma Urology (London), FRCS (Glasgow), Hon. FRCS(London) is an internationally recognized expert in urethral reconstruction. He underwent Urology training in England from 1981 to 1986. He was trained by Mr Richard Turner Warwick, considered as “Father of urethroplasty”. Dr Kulkarni’s centre in Pune, India performs one of the largest number of urethroplasties in the world today. Kulkarni School of Urethral Surgery was established in 2006. Once a month a free live urethroplasty workshop is attended by 8-10 Urologists from India and abroad. He invented the “Kulkarni Urethroplasty” for pan urethral stricture and is popular around the world. He was awarded “President’s Gold Medal” by the Urology Society of India for outstanding contribution to Urology in India in 2011. Dr Sanjay Kulkarni was awarded “Dr BC Roy” award by the President of India for developing new speciality in 2016.He was conferred Honorary membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and made Honorary member of the British Association of Urological Surgeons In 2017. Dr Kulkarni was the President of the Society of Genito Urinary Reconstructive Surgeons in 2014.He  currently serves as the President of the Society International de Urology, SIU (2019-21).

He has been awarded many fellowships like ISN fellowship for kidney transplantation at Monash Medical Center, Melbourne, Australia, International fellowship of Cleveland Clinic for Reno vascular hypertension, Chakravorty fellowship at John Hopkins Baltimore USA, Urodynamic fellowship at Harlev hospital, Copenhagen, Denmark and Ham green Hospital Bristol, UK. He has been visiting professor to many university of USA, Denmark, UK, Switzerland and many national universities and institutions. He has also been DNB and M.Ch examiner of many universities. Dr Kumar has 200 publications in various national and international journals to his credit. He has also written few book chapters and invited review articles. He was the editor of a special supplementary issue on Chyluria in IJU. His papers, posters and videos have won many prizes.

He had organised many workshops, CME, panel discussion, national and international conferences. He had organised ISOT in 2002, in Lucknow and 16th Congress of Asian Society of Transplant in 2019.

He is a member of many societies like USI, NZ-USI, ISOT, AUA, SIU, BAUS, AST, ITS, ISPD and IMS. He was also a council member of Asian Society Transplantation and Indian Science Society. He was the secretary and Past president of Indian Society of Organ Transplantation. He was also Past President of Urological society of India. He has special interest in kidney transplantation, laparoscopic and robotic surgery and uro-oncology.

Rajeev Kumar is Professor of Urology and Associate Dean for Academics at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India where he obtained all his medical training.


His principal areas of clinical work are Laparoscopy and Robotics with a special interest in adrenal surgeries and microsurgery for male infertility. His research interests focus on aetiology of male infertility and magnetic resonance techniques for prostate cancer biopsy and diagnosis. He has published over 250 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters and delivered over 100 international lectures.

Dr Lee Lui Shiong is currently Head of Department, Department of Urology, Sengkang General Hospital, and a visiting senior consultant with National Cancer Centre.

Dr Lee's clinical speciality is in urology oncology. His clinical interest include optimising clinical outcomes in urology cancers. Tiong Ho Yee


Dr Tiong Ho Yee graduated with Honours from the University of Nottingham, UK in 1997. He received his membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2001 after completing his General Surgical residency at the University of Leicester Hospital Systems, UK. After completing his Urology residency at National University Hospital in 2006, he was awarded the Singapore Urological Association-European Board of Urology Book Prize in 2005 and 2007. He has been a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore since 2007.

As a recipient of the Ministry of Health Human Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) scholarship, Dr Tiong completed a two-year clinical fellowship training in Kidney and Pancreas Transplantation at the Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, USA. He worked under the mentorship of the Glickman Urological and Kidney Institute faculty, ranked No.1 in the United States, to gain expertise in his current areas of interest. Dr Tiong aims to consistently lead in the field of kidney cancer surgery by performing minimally invasive kidney sparing surgery for small cancers, as well as major open curative operations for large kidney cancers and transplantations.

In 2009, he was certified and became full member of the American Society of Transplant Surgeons. He is a certified transplant surgeon by the Ministry of Health, Singapore and serves on its advisory committee for transplantation. He currently is licensed to practice in Singapore, Malaysia, United Kingdom and State of Ohio, United States. With research and dedication, Dr. Tiong believes in delivering patient-centric care and holistic management of his cancer and transplant patients.

Toh Khai Lee


Dr Toh obtained his medical degree at the National University of Singapore and post-graduate surgical diplomas at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK as well as Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Glasgow, UK. He received his urological residency training in Singapore and underwent 2 fellowship programs in the United States. One at Duke University, where he trained under Dr George Webster, and the other at William Beaumont Hospital, Michigan, under the tutelage of Dr Ananias Diokno.

Dr Toh had previously served in the Urological Association of Asia as Honorary Treasurer and was a past President of the Singapore Urological Association. He was previously the Head of the Department of Urology in Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore.

He currently practises in Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre, Singapore.

Kumaradasan Umashankar

Dr Kumaradasan Umashankar completed his secondary education at Jaffna Hindu College and undergraduate medical degree at The faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo in 2000 with Honours. In 2003 entered the surgical training programme of Postgraduate institute of Medicine, University of Colombo and passed the Master of Surgery in 2007 with the Doctor Vrasapillai Gabriel Memorial Gold Medal  for Master of Surgery for topping the batch. From 2007 to 2011 undergone advanced surgical training in Urological and Transplant Surgery at The National Hospital of Colombo, Srilanka and at The Royal Free Hospital, London.

In 2011 he was board certified as the first urological and transplant surgeon in Srilanka and appointed as the urologist & transplant surgeon at The National Institute for Nephrology, Dialysis and Transplantation - The National Hospital of Srilanka.


His special interest are urological oncology and renal transplantation. Dr Umashankar has been involved with  both live donor (open & Laparoscopic) and cadaveric transplantation (DCD & DBD). He has initiated the transplant programmes in NINDT & military hospital of Srilanka


His other interests are travelling and nature photography.
